Leesburg, Va. — April 26, 2016 — Government Marketing University, a new training and career development platform serving government marketplace professionals, today announced a strategic partnership with GovLoop. This partnership will allow Government Marketing University to extend the reach of its educational course offerings by utilizing GovLoop’s high-impact government learning platform. Under the agreement, GovLoop will provide its software-as-a-service learning platform to Government Marketing University to host and present course content to Government Marketing University students. Government Marketing University is developing a variety of courses, with the first series of courses slated to be available this summer.

Government Marketing University is a new innovative learning platform that applies a collaborative, community-based approach toward knowledge sharing and skills development in the field of public sector marketing. Government experts from all corners of the U.S. public sector marketplace — marketers, thought leaders, sales, business development, current and former government and media — are contributing to a unique, content-rich platform. Government Marketing University will offer training, research, certifications, mentoring, and community resources all in one place.

Government Marketing University Founder and President Lou Anne Brossman said the partnership is a natural fit for both organizations, which share a common mission of building community and knowledge sharing within their respective segments of the government marketplace.

“GovLoop is in many ways a perfect partner for Government Marketing University, given our parallel missions,” Brossman said. “This partnership with GovLoop is an important step in fulfilling Government Marketing University’s central mission to bring high-value, on-demand training, knowledge-sharing and community building to professionals in the government marketing arena. The offerings we are building are simply not available today, and this sizable community of both marketing and sales professionals will be well-served by this partnership.”

“GovLoop is thrilled to be partnering with Government Marketing University,” said Doug Mashkuri, Vice President of Business Development. “The mission and vision of Government Marketing University is very much aligned with GovLoop’s mission of providing resources and training to help the government community do its job better. We look forward to working together on this awesome journey.”
